Thrie-Beam Guardrails are a type of guardrail system with three alignment, w-shaped steel beams supported by posts and blocked at the two sides to form a continuous structure. It is mainly used for median and side barrier on highways, pedestrian, and roadside safety barriers. It is designed to absorb more energy from impact and provide better protection than traditional W-beam guardrail. Additionally, Thrie-Beam Guardrails have distinct advantages over other guardrail systems, such as weight savings due to reduced material compared to W-beam guardrail. It is also easier to install since the rails come pre-assembled in sections, so it requires less labor time. Furthermore, its reduced profile allows a larger range of view for drivers approaching curves in highways, as well as reducing soil erosion.

Steel Beam Guardrail
Guardrail is a kind of road crash barrier used for securing highway safety by preventing errant vehicles from sliding out of the roads and impacting the roadside buildings or other objects. So it is most commonly fixed on the side of the highways, dock areas, aisles, especially on curves and slopes for protection against run-off-road collisions.
There are mainly two specifications of steel guardrail: W-Beam guardrail and Thrie-Beam guardrail, They are manufactured from Q235B or Q345B grade steel in 2.5-4mm base metal thickness as supplied by China Steel Limited.All products are hot dipped galvanized or powder coated after fabrication to meet the requirements of Chinese National Standards,AASHTO M180 Standard, SANA Standard and etc.
Thrie beam guardrail features its shape of three waves, which has an added corrugation on the basic of traditional W-beam. Compared to two-wave shape products, this one has a stronger construction and higher impact endurance. It has been successfully impact-tested by a heavy truck and has showed its remarkable resistance against the crash force.
It is a perfect combination of high quality material (including Q235, Q345, etc.) and excellent anti-rust zinc or PVC coating. All of these make it outstanding at long-term corrosion and rust resistance. Meanwhile, it costs effectively and is widely used as a visual and physical barrier for protection against run-off road collision. Additionally, it is often used as a specific signs for a transition to high speed roadways, bridges, etc.
