What is rectifier module?

A rectifier module is an electronic device that converts alternating current (AC), which periodically changes direction, into direct current (DC), which flows in only one direction. There are several types of rectifiers, including half-wave rectifiers, full-wave rectifiers, and bridge rectifiers.

Half-wave rectifiers only allow one half of the AC waveform to pass through, while full-wave rectifiers allow both halves of the AC waveform to pass through, but in opposite directions. Bridge rectifiers consist of four diodes arranged in a bridge configuration, which allows them to rectify AC voltage from either direction.

Rectifiers are used in a variety of applications, including power supplies for electronic devices, battery chargers, and DC motor drives. They are also used in power transmission and distribution systems to convert high-voltage AC power into lower-voltage DC power for use in homes and businesses.
