Who wears grip socks?
Grip Socks specifically for elite sport have evolved over the years and are now commonplace at the very top of sport across the world. But more recently grip socks are now being worn at all tiers, leagues, and levels.
They are usually worn by Football, Rugby, and Cricket players - but at Apex we're starting to see Lacrosse, NFL, Golf, and Runners choosing grip socks.

Normal playing sock are the traditional knee high soccer socks. The trend lately is to wear an additional pair of crew socks over the soccer sock, supposedly for a tighter fitting boot. The problem is they are always a different color than the main soccer sock, even when it is a color that could match. These crew socks come about up to the calf muscle, and for arguments sake, say halfway up the leg. Fun times in the one youth game (not particularly strict about socks matching in this league) I did where half of each team was wearing them. So the one team with black socks, half had white crew socks over. The other team had white socks with half the guys wearing black crew socks over. So 25% black socks, 25% black/white socks, 25% white socks, and 25% white/black socks.
Lately I have seen more of the shinguard/calf sleeves being worn as socks. Basically a crew sock, then the calf sleeve. They have been the same color so no real issue.
Last week I saw a guy wearing ankle socks (or imagine no-show socks) and then the calf sleeve. The issue was there was about two inches of exposed skin from where the ankle sock ended and the calf sleeve began.
Technically, he was wearing socks and his shin guards were covered. I know the sock doesnt offer that much protection from a cleat scrape, but it just looked out of place.
